GENERAL INFORMATION

HAUL-OUT
The Yard Office is open Monday to Friday 8am-4pm, Saturdays 8am to noon.

Clients must contact the Yard Office to make reservations for their haul. A deposit of US$250.00 is required before a reservation is confirmed. Deposits will be applied to the Client’s account in the form of a credit. In the event of a reservation cancellation, deposits will be refunded with 6-weeks notice in writing, prior to the given date of haul.

Management must be made aware of any unusual or specific insurance riders, clauses or provisos prior to the haul being approved.

Prior to being hauled, all necessary paperwork and reservation forms must be given to the Office. These include:

  1. Completed reservation form (signed)
  2. Copy of boat’s registration
  3. Copy of boat’s customs clearance
  4. Copy of boat’s insurance

GENERAL
The Customs and Immigration Offices are located next door to the Yard Office and an appointment is required.

Pets are allowed on the property once they have Customs approval and are kept under control. Their litter must be picked up and disposed of promptly.

Clients should provide a list of works to the Yard Office, who will then make arrangements for further consultation with various department heads if necessary.

Please do not to direct work orders to individual and/or junior workers.

Please direct any suggestions, special requests, complaints or queries to the Yard Office or the Yard Manager.

Grinding, sandblasting, sanding, painting or spraying is not allowed  without the prior approval of the Yard Manager.

SERVICES
The Grenada Marine Beach Bar opens from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday to Saturday; 11:00am to 6:00pm Sunday.

There is an on-premises chandlery, Island Water World. It opens from 8am to 4pm Mondays to Fridays, 8am to noon on Saturdays.

Liveaboards are charged a daily rate for water and garbage disposal. Electricity is charged only for days it is used. The toilet, washroom and shower facilities are included in the daily water charge. Clients are asked to take into consideration the seasonal water supply shortages which can, upon occasion, result in a temporary loss of water.

There are token-operated washers/dryer, located in the shower block. Tokens are available from the Yard Office.  Ropes, canvases, heavy blankets, upholstery, sails or items with metallic parts are not allowed to be washed in the machines.

LPG tank refilling is offered off-premises. It takes at least two full working days for the refilled tanks to be returned and they can be picked up at the Yard Office. Clients are advised to clearly label their tanks with the vessel’s name.

Taxi arrangements can be made through the Yard Office.

Outgoing mail can be dropped off at the Yard Office.

COMMUNICATIONS
There is wireless internet available for use by clients with wifi-enabled laptops or handheld devices. At present this service is complimentary and does not require a password. (Subject to change).

LAUNCHING
Clients are requested to inform the Yard Office at least forty-eight hours in advance of the day they wish to be launched.

The day prior to the scheduled launching, Clients are asked to reconfirm their launch times with the Yard Office.

No Cash, No Splash! Clients are asked to settle their vessel’s account at the Yard Office before they are lifted. If final bills are to be settled with wire transfers, please note that Grenada Marine must be able to confirm receipt of the funds prior to launch. SECURITY/SAFETY
No vessel is allowed to sail, motor or drift into or around the travelift slip unless instructed to do so by the Yard Office.

Clients are requested to leave a set of labeled boat keys or padlock combination with the Yard Manager to accelerate access in the event of an emergency.

Liveaboard clients who are expecting guests and visitors to the compound are asked to alert the security guards and/or the Yard Office of their plans, so the necessary security arrangements can be made.

Clients are advised that NO UNAUTHORISED PERSON(S) will be allowed to board unattended or unoccupied vessels on the hard. Clients are requested to provide written consent via letter, fax or email, to the Yard Office specifying any person(s) they wish to have visit or live aboard their vessel.

Prior to departure for a prolonged period of time, it is advised that Clients provide the Yard Office with a list of valuables/effects that will be left aboard their vessel.

The raising of sails or removal of standing rigging is strictly prohibited while the boat is on the hard.

Open fires on the compound are prohibited at all times.

No one is allowed to remain on board any vessel being hauled, launched, moved or  re-propped.

Chocking/propping stands should never be moved by Clients at any time. Please inform the Yard Office or the Yard Manager so they can arrange for assistance from the Yard Crew.
